Destiny 2 Weapon Crafting Guide
Before we get into the actual crafting method, let’s start with the basics of Weapon Crafting in Destiny 2.
To craft your weapon the first thing that you need to do is head to The Enclave on Mars. Then interact with the crafting station and the first thing that you are going to see is two options.
- Shape: This is used to craft a new weapon
- Reshape: This is used to remake an already crafted weapon.
The glaive crafting method was quite easy and it didn’t require you to spend any resources. But when you craft new weapons you need to spend resources that don’t come easy and need to be earned. So how do you earn the weapon crafting resources?
How To Get Weapon Crating Resources?
The resources necessary for crafting weapons can only be gained from Deepsight Resonance weapons and you can distinguish these weapons from other weapons by a Red Border around them. These weapons also have an Attunement Progress bar attached to them, which is like a bounty of the weapon.
Now, you need to complete the attunement progress of the weapon by killing enemies with it, and after that, you will be able to extract the crafting resources from the weapons and these resources are known as Elements. Now, there are a few different types of elements and you need to be sure about which element you want to extract. Here is a list of all the elements that you can gain from deepsight resonance weapons
- Neutral Element: All deepsight resonance weapons provide you with this element.
- Adroit Element: This is needed for perks that are related to the handling and stability of a weapon.
- Energetic Element: This is needed for perks that are related to ammo or reload speed.
- Mutable Element: This is needed for perks that are related to ability.
- Ruinous Element: This is needed for perks that are related to damage.
- Drowned Element: This is needed for the weapons that would drop from the Vow Of The Disciple raid.
So, there are you have it. These are the various elements that are necessary for weapon crafting and can be obtained from deepsight resonance weapons. There are a few exceptions like enhanced frenzy (more on this later) need mutable elements.
The elements mentioned here are used to craft weapon with enhaned perks only and weapons with normal perks just require Neutral Elements.
There are two more types of elements that you need to craft weapons and those are Resonant Alloy and Ascendant Alloy. The Resonant Alloys can be obtained by dismantling any legendary weapons and it costs 5 of these to craft a weapon.
The Ascendant Alloys can be bought from Master Rahool for 400 legendary shards and these are necessary for crafting weapons with enhanced perks. From Master Rahool you can purchase 1 Ascendant Alloy per week and there are other sources of obtaining these as well such as Banshee-44’s reward track, Weekly Campaign missions, and master Wellspring versions. You can call this equivalent to the Ascendant Shards.

What Are Enhanced Perk Destiny 2?
As mentioned before, all craftable weapons have normal perks and enhanced perks. Normal perks are just what is available with the weapons when they drop but enhanced perks are the ones that provide extra benefits on top of what the normal ones are providing. To get these perks unlocked you need to use the weapon quite a lot and after a certain level the perk will be unlocked and then you can use the perk on the weapon from the reshape option of the relic.
